Why not just configure an existing product?
Often you should, and we will say so. Off-the-shelf software gives you upgrades, security patches, documentation and a support contract that custom code does not. We only recommend building when the process is genuinely specific to how you work, or when the licence and integration costs clearly exceed the cost of building and maintaining your own.
What happens if we want to change developers later?
The code is in your repository, the infrastructure is in your account, and the documentation is written for the next developer. There is no proprietary framework, no private build step and no hidden configuration that only we can operate. Continuity is something we try to earn, not something we build a dependency for.
